Our services

Individual Therapy

Individual sessions are tailored to fit your specific needs. We will get to know each other, in order to build trust and learn more about your therapy needs. We will set therapy goals and practice skills that you can utilize in between sessions to move closer to your goal of making lasting changes in your life. You are the expert on you and we believe the therapist is there to help guide you and help uncover strengths that you already have within. We will move at a pace that feels good for you, while offering compassion, humor, and gentle nudges along the way. This is meant to be a collaborative approach where you should feel comfortable to discuss anything you wish.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is when an identified client and their family member(s) or caregiver(s) come together to address and work towards shared goals. The groundwork will be laid with learning and practicing active listening skills and effective communication strategies so everyone can feel respected, validated, and heard in (and hopefully then out) of the therapy space. Oftentimes, families are given skills or strategies to implement in between sessions, in order to practice in real time. These sessions are also a great opportunity for your therapist to provide psychoeducation and/or resources on topics of relevance or areas of concern for the family system.

Relationship Therapy

Relationship Therapy is a safe space for you and your partner or partners to come together to identify and work towards shared goals. Together we will take steps to work towards these goals while learning effective communication strategies as well as ways to actively listen to and honor all those in the therapy space. These sessions are paid for out of pocket, as insurance companies do not provide coverage for relationship therapy.

Our clinician, Brenna, provides relationship therapy.

Areas of Practice

  • Gender & Sexuality

Are you part of the LGBTQIA+ community? Are you exploring or wanting to get curious about expressing your gender identity and/or sexuality? Do you need a safe space to unpack and deconstruct internal biases and possibly years of conditioning? Have you experienced or need to process queer-related trauma? Would you like a place to grieve coming out later in life? Or maybe you would like support with coming out and/or living a more authentic life. We are here to help! You won’t have to explain parts of your identity here, we get it.

  • Neurodivergence

Are you questioning whether or not you may be Autistic or ADHD? Or processing a later in life diagnosis? Is it challenging for you to regulate your emotions? Have you been experiencing difficulties with executive functioning? Are you looking to get out of Autistic burnout? Or maybe you want to learn what “unmasking” looks like for you? Do you constantly feel (or fear feeling) misunderstood or finding it hard to navigate relationships? Maybe you’ve recently noticed some sensory sensitivities that we could bring some care and attention to. We offer neurodiversity affirming care. We can help you process feelings and experiences regarding what it’s like to live in a neurotypical world as a neurodivergent person.

  • Body-Image & Relationship to Food

Do you struggle with body-image? Spend a lot of time thinking about food or “compensating” for what you have eaten? Are you chronically dieting and feel like you can only love yourself or be happy if you are in a smaller body? Have you experienced weight-discrimination or stigma from medical professionals or others in your life? Do you want to stop constantly thinking about food and dieting? We are here to process through this body grief, help you stop fighting against your body, and support you in reconnecting with yourself.

  • Children, Teens, & Families

Is your child or teen a deep feeler? Maybe they have difficulty with impulse control or regulating their emotions. Or maybe your child or teen has asked you for therapy “just to talk to someone”. Our clinicians are trained to help children, teens, and their caregivers navigate and process big feelings, typical as well as unpleasant childhood/teenage experiences, trauma, and child grief. We will teach your child/teen about their emotions, so they are able to understand them, tolerate them, express them, and implement skills in order to cope with them. Our clinicians are trained in different play therapy techniques, are trauma informed, and are passionate about connecting with our youth. We are happy to provide psychoeducation to families on topics regarding queer and gender-diverse youth, neurodivergence, eating disorders, self-harm and suicide prevention, as well as developmentally appropriate behaviors. We see children as young as 6 years old.

FAQ’s

Are you taking new clients?

Our clinicians are in charge of their own scheduling. We encourage you to reach out to inquire about availability and possible waitlist placements.

What is a consultation?

This is where we briefly meet, either by video or phone call, to discuss logistics and begin to determine if we would be a good fit for your therapeutic needs. You may bring any questions you have about the therapy process or your therapist’s expertise and clinical experience. Your therapist can help guide you if you are unsure of where to start. These sessions are typically about 15-20 minutes long in duration and free of charge.

Do you see clients in person?

Currently, we are a virtual only practice. However, we have plans to offer in person sessions in the second half of 2025.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice for canceling a session. If you do not show up for a session after the 10-minute grace period or do not provide 48 hours notice, the full fee ($150 for individuals, $165 for relationship/family) will be charged.

*However, we allow one freebie, per client, per calendar year. It is up to the client’s discretion when to implement this freebie for the year.

Do you accept my insurance?

We have made the intentional choice to no longer work with insurance companies. We believe that you, the client, should have autonomy over your care versus insurance companies. This choice also allows our therapists to dedicate more time and attention to the clients they see.

What does “self-pay” or “OON” mean?

Self-pay or Out of Network, is when the client pays for services out-of-pocket, at the time of service. It’s important to note that most insurance policies will cover self-pay mental health services, through “out-of-network” benefits. You will be provided with monthly paperwork, called a “Superbill”, that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, depending on your plan. This allows you to access the support you need, have autonomy over your care and therapy goals, while utilizing your insurance benefits. It is important to call your insurance company to clarify your specific plan. We know this can seem daunting, so here are some questions you can ask your insurance company directly.

What should I ask my insurance company to find out more about out-of-network reimbursement?

Does my insurance plan include out-of-network or self-pay mental health benefits?

Do I have a deductible (a dollar amount you need to meet before your insurance will provide coverage)?

o   If so, how much is it?

o   What is covered after the deductible is met?

o   Do out-of-network services go towards this deductible?

o   What have I spent towards my deductible for this year?

How do I submit a claim to receive reimbursement for an out-of-network therapy provider?

How long do I have after the service to submit a claim?

What is the reimbursement amount I will receive for a (virtual) CPT code of 90837?
